All’inizio ha permesso a persone lontane di interagire e organizzarsi. Poi di comperare cose lontane e di tracciarle mentre arrivavano a casa nostra. In seguito anche uno strumento di organizzazione e interazione locale, con lo sviluppo di dispositivi portatili intelligenti, prima smartphone e poi tablet. Questo anche grazie allo sviluppo delle reti mobili ovviamente.
E infine la possibilità di produrre (alcuni de)gli oggetti che ci servono direttamente a casa nostra, o eventualmente al negozio specializzato vicino a casa, “scaricando” le specifiche.
